so i want to make my car louder at idle....

I recently added a non-resonated TruBendz cat-back which is used in conjunction with my SHO-Shop y-pipe with the main cat removed and the stock SVT exhaust manifolds. The car sounds very aggressive at idle and is almost too loud when on the highway, but this is not my every-day-driver car so I don't mind the extra noise.

screw other drivers.....they have to listen to it for a minute max, if they want to cry about it they can go ahead and do it, but don't ask me for a tissue.
That's the spirit! But keep those tissues handy. You may need them. I read somewhere that various law enforcement districts were going to start measuring sound output like they do with those road side sniffers I see now and again.

the 5-0 would pull you over if you're muffler is too loud right?
Absolutely. For as long as I've been driving (late 60's) they've pulled you aside for a loud exhaust. I don't need to give anyone an excuse to pull me over because once they do, they could start finding all kinds of other "borderline" stuff. That's why, if you have a "modified" vehicle, you've got to do everything possible not to draw attention to yourself. In other words, you have to behave yourself. It's a price you have to pay. Otherwise, you'll be starting a thread on how you were harassed by the POlice for no good reason. :nonono:

Why? Because I'm going to cry about a ticket for loud exhaust? Not going to happen....I look at tickets like that as a "operating expense" for my car. Why should i cater my modifications to someone else? F that S.

Hey, if you've got the money to pay for those tickets, great. They still might, at some point, relieve you of your license for your ticket collection so those tissues still might come in handy. Then you can use your dough to pay for public transportation.

Yeah, I'm going to lose my license because of tickets for loud exhaust that are paid in full.....you lose your license for moving violations not equipment violations. Don't by stock in Kleenex thinking I'm going on shopping spree some day. Care to try again?
