New car: 2011 Ford Fusion Sport AWD

Hey guys,

Just picked up a new car this week! Bought it from my brother at Ford so I got a killer deal. It's a Silver 2011 Ford Fusion Sport with awd options:

3.5L Duratec V6- 263 hp/ 249ft. Lbs torque
Heated Leather seats
moon roof
Ford BLIS (blind spot sensor system, and reverse blind spot alarm/system)
Second generation Ford Sync with 10GB hard drive and nav, Bluetooth etc
18"wheels

I love it!! I'llprobably get some tinted windows, and that 3M sticker-bra thing up front. For the winter I'll either pick up some stock wheels for winter tires (if I can find cheap use stock wheels) or some steelies for the winter. Oh yeah and it only ha 7.9km when I picked it up!!

So the Cougar is now gone! I was sick of having little issues with it, CEL's, squeaks, rattles, rust, harsh ride etc. It was pretty impractical but fun to drive.
 
Yeah the manual would be nice. But that 6 speed auto sure is slick! The manual option with the auto is sweet and really acts like a true manual, ie. I can bounce it off the rev limiter in every gear if I wanted to.

Ya, I have one for a rental right now and the Constant Velocity Tranny is sweet. Nothing like shredding the tires in almost any gear when you turn the traction control off. It pulls damn hard too.

Yeah I can't believe how hard the car pulls, it's really fun to drive too yet it's really comfortable. I wouldn't be suprised if it was faster then the 3L Cougar. If I nail the launch and every gear change the Cougar might pull ahead but having an awd atx, she would be really easy to launch at the track.

Passing power is pretty good as well with the 6-speed it's always in the sweet spot!
 
That's sweet! The sport model looks a lot better that the older models, just like the SVT Contour did.
 
Nice Car I have one myself, 2011 Sport AWD Black though, I luv the black with the dark chrome grill looks mean, I put some clear side markers and a Steeda CAI with tinted windows and tails looks slick, bought some new tips to replace the pip in tip look.... thats just annoying. I'll have to put up some pics when I get home.

Sweet! I thought about going with black but I needed a change from my black Cougar. I'll be tinting the windows this week and getting my 3M bumper/hood protector sticker stuff. I will probably leave everything else as is.

They changed them last year, all new body style I think. New front and rear end, I'm guessing they changed everything. I'm a little biased but I like this model better :)

Actually since the 2012's are out, they changed them two years ago...in the 2010 model line up. :) I love love love the interiors of those cars. It is a car I wouldn't mind as a DD, that is for sure. I thought they had paddle shifters on the wheel though.

If that's the case it would be 3 years since the 2010's were out in 2009. Lol ;)

The interior is such a nice place to be, I love it. The paddle shifter would be nice but I'm happy with the +/- shifter. I was ripping around last night and the manual shift is really nice.

I love this thing, it's such a blast to drive. I already had an F-150 try to race me on the street followed by 3 ricer fly by/ slow down. Lol

My only plans were to tint the windows, get some winter wheels, and put on that 3M rock guard on the front bumper, part of the hood, and side mirrors. I'm also going to ask about getting it put on behind the front and rear wheels, as well as the side skirts.

I am done with modifying cars. I'm happy I went to hell and back with mods on the Cougar. I learned a lot but my taste has changed. Im happy with a comfortable 4-door with an amazing interior and the 3.5L awd makes it a blas to drive! It feels awesome on the corners and has loads of grip.

Even though I know the Cougar can out handle the Fusion on a track but in the real world with bumps, curbs, ramps, etc. I think it's a lot faster and I actually feel more confident around a corner in this the the Cougar.

I will be getting the bottom 12" done so it will cover the side skirts an up to the body line just above the side skirt and the sides of the rear bumper on the same body line.

The window tint is 5% to everything past the drivers shoulders. Having the front windows done would be sweet bu I like to keep it all legal.

It needs to be cleaned up a bit but I can't wash it for a week :( so that sucks lol there are parts that are a little too dusty for quick detail. Once the bottom rock guard is done I want to give it a nice wax.

Oh and for the interior I picked up a Dyson cordless vacuum! This thing rocks!! I love it and now I can easily keep the interior super clean all the time. I did get some Meguiars Leather cleaner/conditioner and some Megiars non-greasy interior detail for the rest.

I must say I like the results of both products.

So I finally have some non-iPhone pictures of the Fusion.

I love this thing, it drives like a dream and is still a blast in the corners. I had to laugh to myself the other day, I saw a girl driving a nice BMW 3 series and she was using her cell phone and her garmin GPS mounted on her dash. Kind of thought it was funny since that car was probably the same or more money then Fusion and has less power, bells and whistles. I must say it made me feel good :)
