Never too early for fall meet planning

Road looks pretty, if a bit like a goat path. Sounds like it gets a good bit of recreational use from bicyclists and the like. Not sure how bright of an idea it is to have a long line of cars caravaning through there unless everyone is perfectly clear that it's a scenic drive and not a performance one.

No one is going to have much of an opportunity to make it a performance run especially following behind cautious-cobra ;) , and I'm pretty sure we're all responsible drivers overall.

If anyone has reservations about it, it's easy enough to split off and meet us at the restaurant instead.

You can be the caboose in the cruise train. The last person in line always has the most "fun" during our fall meets, right Matty? ;)
Kinda like sitting in the last row on a rollercoaster.
Plus you can have Kim take great photographs of the 'tours in front of you. :D

I figured you would be in the front of the line with Cobra...

The tires on my car are scary enough in perfect weather. So I can't imagine the terror of adding wet leaves to the mix. I'll be keeping it slow as well.

Awww... but I will have a rental to beat up on..

you can still beat up on it...its not like we will be driving at 2mph.
this isnt an autocross, its a nice cruise up a winding scenic road.
you don't have to drive at twice the speed limit to enjoy.

i am sure the speed limit on the road can't be more than 30mph.

So where are we eating? Is the Red Parka Pub going to be done?

no idea
Aside from you and Ian, no one else has commented on the dinner options that have been listed in this thread.

I will say that I'd rather not do Common Man.
We hit the CM at a past fall meet already, and not everyone appreciated the pricey menu.

I would say that as loong as the food is good and there is good variety on the menu any place would be fine.

the links all have menus on them, so go look and make Jared happy :p

That is important.

I have other eateries up my sleeve if need be, the Mount Washington Valley being one of my longtime stomping grounds, such as it is.

i honestly dont care too much.
as long as it isn't super expensive and they don't mind babies.

For what it's worth, the Red Parka has both a dining room and a tavern area. The full menu is available both places, and the atmosphere is family oriented. I'm sure we'd have no problem with Elky and Jess having a bambino in either area, especially a table in the tavern. Prices are reasonable, too.

Kim, if this ends up being the decided upon place, I'm happy to call and make arrangements, so let me know if I can help.
