Needs more chrome (2010 Fusion)

The three-bar grill is ok in my book. The current fusion doesn't look great, but also doesn't look bad. With the new three-bar models they seem to be getting slightly more aggressive-looking, which I like more. It should be interesting to see where ford's design goes after this three-bar though. It's weird how designs grow on me. For example the Subaru wrx/sti grills have gone through such drastic change in such a short amount of time... Each revision seems to look worse, and then once they are again revised I tend to start liking the previous design.

Are they rare? My parents have one and they are around town so I never thought of it that way.
Maybe just around the northeast. I don't see the Freestyle often at all, and I've noticed maybe one or two Taurus X's since they came out.

Not at all. I've disliked it ever since they came out with it. Even the 500 looked far better than the Taurus IMO (in terms of exterior aesthetic appeal).

I do understand the need for an identifying theme. For example, I saw a Freestyle this morning. The vehicle is rare to begin with; if it was debadged, I would have had no clue who made it. But I agree with you: the 3-bar grille is a very "heavy" theme, forced to the point of awkward on most vehicles in the lineup.

Ugh, I completely agree.

I'm certainly looking forward to an updated mercury milan though. If they shrink the size of the current models tail lamps by about 50-60%, it'll look hot.

Updates.

When I saw that center console screen I literally said to myself 'Sweet Mother of God" - and noone else is in the room with me.

Looks pretty good. I like the spoiler.
