My Modded 2005 Legacy GT

Like KennyT772 said, they are junk. Granted they can run forever and be built to be quick, but in stock form (like mine) it wasn't as fast as my old 3.0L and it was built as cheap as possible.
You had something wrong then, In stock form WRX's are still pretty fast, and should be faster than a 3L.

+1 for something wrong. And something was off for it being "built cheap." My 98 has absolutely no rattles or creaks in the interior. The hatch used to have a rattle, but that was a quick fix. Even the POS '03 Lexus with 1/5 the mileage has creaks and rattles...but the little Suby is as quiet as day one. Well...I wouldn't say quiet, but it doesn't squeak or rattle.

They are no mid 90's GMs, just everything is cheap.

A friend of mine bought a '10 STi Special Edition, and has a interesting problem. Something in the Boost controller is messed up, and only making 6psi of boost. The single Subaru dealer up here replaced a solenoid and said that's all they have for options. Bull•••• for a 4 month old car.

Different dealer. Some suck...which Subaru LOVES to hear about, btw. They don't take it lightly. And then there are others who would bent over backwards to make you happy.

I'll have to remind her to get a hold of corprate. The only real problem with the situation is he has used the car, well. Rallycross in soft gravel, couple autocrosses, and lots of abuse. I've driven the car quite a few times, and I can't stand the driver interaction. The clutch is odd, brakes have way too much bite, and the gas pedal doesn't have any weight. Other than that it is a brilliant car.

The thing is the WRX can get traction right away, the SVT pulled like a mo fo after getting traction....I know the old SVT could out run the WRX from a roll.

3L vs WRX
Power 200 Wheel 230 Crank
Weight 3000ish 3200ish
Mechanical Loss 10-15% 20-25%

Yeah the 3L should be faster, especially from a roll. But then again, that is a nearly completely modded NA SVT vs a bone stock WRX.

Wait, why are we arguing about this? I owned both, I didn't like the WRX. Big woop.

Why bull••••? Solenoids control turbo pressure on modern cars and cars have quirks like that off the factory line.

Nope. Beat one in my 93 SHO. A 3L should be as fast if not faster than an SHO of that vintage. They're not all that great in stock form.

I thought the blob eye WRX's were close to 300bhp, add the 20% +/- loss to the viscous coupler and you should be getting about 240hp to the wheels, ALL 4 OF THEM...

PS: Ive been wondering, how'd that F1 stage 2 work out for you? inquiring minds want to know... [/highjack]
