My Modded 2005 Legacy GT

Narrower tires mounted on wider rims. When mounted, instead of the rubber being flush with or extending past (and protecting) the rim, the rim sticks out past the sidewall of the tire. Curb rash hell if you ask me. V-dubbers love the look for some reason. :shrug:

hardy har, but seriously, contours are pretty old now and they weren't nominated for any beauty contests when they were new man. mine has sort of grown on me, mostly for having lots of engine for it's size, but most people cant tell them from similar year tauri or escort sedans...
 
Speaking of Subi's. My WRX should be sold in a couple hours. Not the car for me. Legacy GT maybe...not a WRX though.
 
I think you should bring that Subie to Bill's house July 16-18. Maybe bring the hearse or at least its owner too. ;)
 
The car looks very nice, although not a fan of stretched tires. I will probably buy a GT as soon as I can afford it. I simply love those cars.

As far as WRX's go, they are junk, fast junk. The level of fitment in STi's vs WRX's is worlds apart, although still not the best. They are both built well where it counts though, if I were to flip any car I would want to be in a Subaru.
 
dont stretched tires have some degree of performance benefit? like, not extremely stretched, but like what you see on drift cars?

Drift cars mostly do it for the look, and the fitment, but they also do it for the quicker steering response. With stretched tires (to a certain, tolerable degree), there is less sidewall deflection, which in turn gives you better steering response/quicker steering. On race cars, most notably in the Continental Tires series on the Turner Motorsport BMW's (that's the car that stuck out when I saw them in Daytona, didn't notice it in Watkins Glen..wasn't really looking) the sidewalls were stretched. They weren't "HellaFlush y000" stretched, but it was enough to be beneficial performance wise.

Oh and I love Subie's, be it Legacy's, STI's, WRX's, Forester (especially STI swapped ones). I'd love to get one sometime soon.
 
My Impreza hit the 250K mark last week. Original engine, transmission. Handles like it's on rails, and keeps on going. I love that little car.

+1 for the love of all subies. I'd love to get an SVX with a 6spd swap, those are pretty unique and I loved them in video games... IDK why subaru decided only to make them in automatics...

also +1 for trusting subies in a wreck. I fell asleep on a road trip and planted one firmly into the end of a guard rail with the cruise set to 70, woke up spinning out on 85 at 4 am and stopped plum against the center median. I was completely unharmed and wasnt even wearing a seatbelt. there was also a dog in the passenger seat, which was also completely unharmed. I cried about the state of the 'booru though...
