last friday on my way to work I got into what I thought was a small fender bender.

Turn out it was not so small. I called the body shop to see if my car was running, since the day off the accedent when i went to pull to the shoulder the car just died after 30 minutes of idoling. The lady was like yeah you can come pick it up. My response was "WOW you guys fixed it already? U never called for my OK???". Her response was "Fix it? No we did not. Your insurance company will not be fixing the car." As I now sit dumbfounded that my insurance company still has not told me this, I am now wondering what I'm going to do with no car. As well as my bigger question.... what do i buy next???? I really didn't need this added to the :censored::censored::censored::censored: storm of problems but I guess after 27 years of crap I should be used to it now. LOL

That's terrible Wes. Are the front quarter panels pushed back, or is it the radiator stand is pushed back making the hood out of alignment? If there isn't any major structural damage, it should be fixable.

That really blows. Just looks cosmetic from the pics. Can't believe they wouldn't fix it, the shop must have quoted them an outrageous price, padding the bill I am sure. Should call and talk to your ins yourself and find out why.

yeah dude, that doesnt look bad at all. Whats all messed up besides headlights an grill?vIs the hood cracked up?

A new grill would do wonders to that picture. The car really doesnt look bad in the pictures. Everything should be repairable there.

Let us know what the insurance company has to say. I'm wondering who estimated the damages to be enough to total the car. It looks like just a grille and headlight from the pictures, maybe there is something we aren't seeing from the pics. A bumper alone would total a CSVT.

Very sorry to hear. This winter has been rough. :(

looks like the hood is cracked too :blackeye:..... pm todras or eurotour for parts and pick them up at SZ :D

Wow, that is really bad to hear. It kinda looks like you hit (whatever) a little bit on the drivers side. If that is true, it doesn't take much to push the bumper support a little bit over.

I hate ins. companies. They will write just about anything that takes a little bit of effort to repair. I know what its like to lose a car that you put alot of work into because of trivial damage..

Definitely get a list of parts for that thing. Since you dont have a car, i guess get some POS beater to get you by while you fix up the SVT. that was such a nice car.

Oh damn! That sucks but doesn't look bad at all. Get the repair est. and get the insurance $. We can fix that thing.

Damn man, Thats :censored::censored::censored::censored:ty. I might have a few mechanical parts here if you need some, but with the others chiming in, I doubt you will. If you decide not to fix it and want another one, hit me up, I'd be willing to part with mine.

That makes 3 in one week. :blackeye: It really doesn't look bad at ALL. I'd be curious what exactly needs repair. Want to buy one of mine?

BOO winter!

That sucks, but like was said so many times before, I think the shop is screwing ya, looks like it should be repairable.

The damage comes to $3500!!!! There is rad support damage and a few other things that escape my memory at the momment. If I get offered a buy out I'm just going to buy back the car (if they don't want to much) and strip it and part it out :(

they shouldn't want too much for a buy back I would think, when I crashed my 97 talon that told me I would either get 10.6K back or I could buy back the car for 1600, so if your car is only worth say 8k they should sell it back for around a grand.

sorry to here that happened to you man, it looked like a great car.

dont part the thing out Wes that car is slick! I'm sorry to see her in that condition but there is no need to make it scrap.
