Sorry if i'm hi-jacking your thread!
But here is some backround if ppl are intereted..
The Projector refit i had the goals in mind..
1. retain factory headlight adjustments
2. weather sealed like stock
3. get the bluish/purple 'tint' like the Audi/BMW projectors. (this was optional)
At the time I started no one had done this yet.. half way through my R&D Millian made his quad projector setup and did a group buy.. (check the old forums)
R&D took 2 set of 90mm projectors, an HID set from a wrecked A6 from Ebay, 2 set of Contour headlights from the salvage yard, dremel, a whole bunch of SS bolts silicone sealant, ad JB Weld!
Basically to achieve the goals above the projector nds to intergrated into the stock Hi/Low Reflector housing. So alignment of projector cut-off and hi-beam is crucial and time consuming. But this will allow you to keep the factory adjustments. i got this from looking at alot of headlights. The closest example iis if you look at an A4 head light their hi/low assembly contains the projector.
The D2S refit is water tight on the Projector conversion! 3 plus years and holding. All parts for the Hella 90mm projector was recycled on this build.

on that picture you can see the SVT center cap converted to a D2S retainer with seal that was recycled from the Hella's glass projector cover. If you look closely on the back of the projector, you can the 'dirt line' made by the seal on the retainer. think this was the first i took the retainer off in years for the pic.

The the low beam seal on the headlight housing is still retained too. In the pics you can see that the rear diameter of the 90mm projector is about the same diameter of the stock 'inner ring' of the 9006 reflector bulb base. (outer ring is still in tact i pic.) Carefull cutting with a Dremel on factory reflector assebly will allow the Hella projector to fit perfectly in place. (look at the stock 9006 reflector housing base, with seal off and you'll see the part that nds to be cut off)
Oh. i still have an extra set of the H9 bases and bulbs from this project, with an H9 to 9006 wire harness in the trunk. Just in case a D2S goes out and i nd light. I can swap bases and bulbs and be on the road again!
Think i wrote enough.. 0.0 If there are more ?? PM me.. If is enough interest i'll try to do a write up...
Diatribe off..
