buy it and let it sit.... for what? So it can depreciate some more.

Apparently you DID NOT read my entire post. I would A. Buy it. B. Restore what parts and stuff that can be fixed. C. I would drive it a little in the summer.

I really dont understand what people dont get about stuff like this. This car right here is somewhat gonna be what your classic pontiac is. OBVIOUSLY not to the same extent. But it is a rare model and in ten to fifteen years you wont find one at all.

I know you wont agree with me, but I dont really care.

I love my CSVT and everything and nobody understands why I do because its just a Contour, but even I don't understand how people could think that YA Mystique is good looking. Face it you guys, if you were never introduced to CEG and you were 16 you would do as much as you could not to drive that grandma mobile, well that is my opinion at least.

Either way though if its rare enough to you in your mind, then seems like picking it up cheap is worth it for yourself.

I wouldn't mind a YA Mystique. I love the interior...

Will the car ever be worth much? No, probably not...

But to some of us it's cool as hell!

BTW, is it a 5-spd or auto?

I was just wondering about the disloged airbag covers myself. If you could pick it up for short money (shorter than he's asking), it might be a good project, but be sure you know what kind of shape the car is in structurally.

it could be that the bolt holding the airbag has come loose, mine has done that a few times.

other then that the headlights don't look to bad but that crome strip does look brand new. Normally they start to peel if the car has been a dd and kept outside. I have only seen a few originals that are perfect.

I don't think the YA Mystiques were available in 5-speeds.

I dislike pre98 Mystiques, but if I had the space I would buy a YA in a heartbeat. It needs some work but the chance to own something that rare is absolutely worth it.

This is the only way they came.
As far as I know, there were NO options available on a YAE.
It came with what it came with and that was it.
