I believe it's already been done. As well as mustangs and camaros.
As for the deuce, the unimog seems much more capable off road. The unimog was first thought up back in 1945 I believe...so I can only imagine that 65 years of development makes it superior.

The Extreme 4x4 show on Spike is building a deuce right now. They picked one up cheap and changed it from a 6 wheeler to a 4x4. It's a pretty sweet build.
thats what made me think of the bobbed duece.
