I had the same problem years ago when I drove a left hand drive '60 Fairlane on our English roads, it was far too wide for them and as you pulled out to overtake by the time you could see around a truck the passenger side tyres were rubbing the opposite kerb. But at least I didn't get confused with the shifter as it was a slush box. As for transatlantic importing I've been trying for 5 years to find someone to sell and import to me, in the UK a '98 SVT front bumper.
