if you type zzp or 3800 in google theres alot of parts for the series 2 3800 supercharged motors and it has 240 hp stock easly increased by a pully.
3.0l duratec 200 hp or so stock
but with either motor theres traction problems witch means you have to get over them with wider tires/racing slicks, stiffer shocks would probly help also
im not trying to argue my way out of anything, i just didnt know how ford set up the numbers like i said in a earlyer post. im sorry you think my ideas are stupid but thats you, like i said earlyer a forums to share ideas and get help and help people
Ummmm.... I know quite a bit about 3800s.... look at my sig, I happen to own a car with a supercharged 3800.
Once you get over the traction problems with the contique, you have serious driveline problems. The transmissions break, and then once you have the transmission so it wont brake, the driveshafts break. It is not as simple as just putting on wide slicks.
I am not saying it is a stupid idea, but for it to be worth anything, you would have to have a MUCH stronger drive-train involved as well, and well, for the work you would have to do just to put the 3800 in, you could have spent your money on fixing driveline problems.
Also, 3.0L duratec is 200hp stock. NPG turbo kit can easily make it MUCH more, and would probably cost less than you would spend buying an L67 and trying to get it to fit. Just to give you an idea of the trouble that would be, I will go outside and measure the engine in my bonneville tomorrow afternoon when I am done with classes.
Also, honestly, before you spend a LOT of time debating what other kinds of engines you can put in a car, I would work on having the money to afford that kind of stuff.
I'm not just trying to put you down, I am trying to share information with you.
