I have 1997 Contour SE 2.5L auto transmission with 86,000 miles. I had a miss and got a P0302 code last week. I pulled the #2 wire and plug and found carbon tracking down the side of the plug. I cleaned it and put dielectric grease on it. The wire measured 8,000 ohms. The longer #1 wire only measured 6,000 ohms. I’m assuming I need new wires at this point. The car runs great and the miss is gone but I immediately got a P0153 with a pending P1151. In searching this forum I find similar cases where it could be anything from oxygen sensor to fuel pressure regulator. I have had other issues with this that got me thinking the fuel pressure regulator is bad. Before I start replacing things I wanted to see if anyone else had these codes and figured it out. The freeze frame data is as follows:
Freeze frame DTC Stored
0153
Fuel System 1 Status: Closed Loop – fault with at least one oxygen sensor
Fuel System 2 Status: Not Supported
Calculated Load Value: 59.22%

Long Term Fuel Trim – Bank 1: 3.91%
Short Term Fuel Trim – Bank 2: 1.56%
Long Term Fuel Trim – Bank 2: 3.91%
Engine RPM: 2058.00rpm
Vehicle speed sensor: 38.1 mph
Thanks for any input!
