I rode shotgun in their last rally back in June, I had a blast!
Basically you check in get your directions, and they send a different car out every 3 minutes. It took us about 3 hours to complete the course. Finishing too fast gets you DQ'd, they check your mileage at the start and various check points. If you are under the mileage you also get DQ'd. Most of the course is designed with the enthusiast in mind, lots of nice twisties!

Just throwing this out there for anyone interested......you will need a two man team, driver and navigator.

if you want more info check out www.330tuning.com

So it's a road rally, nice. Some call it a TSD or time, speed, distance. It's about the smarts, not the car. So I really don't think you knuckleheads have a chance. :D

way back when my dad had a s2000, we participated in a road rally, with about 30 cars it was awsome, it was only 50-100 i think but it was like a scavenger hunt along the way.

we had to get to one destination and get all the clues, as to which way to go it was fun, we started 6th and finished 1st but some of one clues were wrong and we lost a bunch of points ended up like 12th. it was fun though.

basically you get a sheet at the start with step by step instructions. No map, just instructions....

3.75 miles turn right, .25 miles turn left.....it gets real tricky if the driver is not resetting the odometer after each turn. maybe like every 3 turns it will give you a road name, but other than that you have to count on your odometer.

Did someone really delete my post? You can't be serious. I do know these guys and it was in fun.

This looks very interesting. I'm gonna see if my son would like to do this. That web site was pretty much blank. Do you have anymore info other than what that sheet said?

I was googling for the 330 and came up with this. It is amazing.

here is a little more info Tom, http://forum.330tuning.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1590

around 100 miles through summit/stark/medina counties. Takes about 3 hours, the last check point is a BBQ. The key to winning is driving the speed limit and not making any wrong turns.......we went through akron, cuyahoga falls, peninsula, medina, coply, canton, and a few other towns. The last route was really fun, lots of twisty roads! PM me if you have any other questions, Ill try to answer them

try googling gumball 330, here are pics from a few of the previous events

some lady drives that miata, and beats the piss out of it! We ran into her quite a few times during the route.....oh yeah it is a blast, just be ready to make a few wrong turns and not know where you are at!

Last time they gave out gift cards for gas instead of trophies

neglected to order my collectors plate on time. the temp tag ran out, so im driving the mustang. probably wont bring the contour back out till spring
