Can I get in on getting one of the bleh blemishes batches? Send me PM on what I need to do, thanks.

yes you can and ill pm you right now.

for those in the original GB, your balance was $150 (plus PP fee). now subtract the $50 "its taking forever" discount that Pete and i offered and you're at $100. add the $90 s&h fee and you're at $190 (plus 3%pp), $195.70 is due. everyone paid the same 50% deposit so everyone has the same balance due. unless you want it overnighted then add $60 to that. CF guys have a different balance but you still ge the $50 off.

im trying to keep my PM box open (deleted a bunch of old PMs) and you can also email me at svt4stv@gmail.com or call me at 818-357-2531 if you need to.

for PP payments, use this email address this time: info@trueforgedwheels.com so i will get instant notification that you've paid. with the other email address, which is still connected, i dont get notified and i hardly EVER check that one, so i might not realised you've sent payment. but i will be going in to PP a few times a day so its not a major issue.

again, thank you all for your enormous patience and cool headedness. i really am impressed as i thought it would turn into a shizastorm for taking so long. lets all kneel down and pray that this batch is what we need it to be!

if all is good, ill do another GB again when this is all cleared up. for those who were hoping to grab a leftover splitter. once we have the mold down, pete says its maybe 2 months to get more over here.

Hey Steve I am in the original GB. Is it OK to wait for your test fit before I send the rest of the balance.

Thanks

yes. im about to go outside and do it right now.

I sent my final payment to info@trueforgedwheels.com via paypal......please let me know when you can ship

Thank

Mikey (the original one)

it will ship out this coming week. ill send you tracking info just as soon as i have it. it usually takes them a day or two to process the shipments.

guys, i stopped at ED yesterday afternoon to pick up one of the new splitters. they recently moved to a new location because their last location wasnt big enough.....

HOLY SNIKES! this new building is HUGE!! you could fit a few airplane hangers inside of it. they have a big rig dock where you can load up about 10 big rigs at one time. and the place is pretty filled with body kits and what not. i snapped some pics on my phone and ill try to load them up later.

i was talking to one of the higher up guys who i spoke with last time i was there. he said he just got back from visiting the factory in china. he said he put a splitter on the bumper himself and its super snug! he told me we'd probably have to remove the bumper to put it on, that its that tight. i hope not lol. im going to outside in a few and try mine on, and snap some pics. he said it fit really great. ill be back in a while with results....

I bet if you take the bumper stays off you'll be able to get it on.

i did not need to remove the bumper to put this on lol. but it was definitely a nice, tight fit. i have not actually installed it yet. this is just sitting on the bumper hanging on on its own. no screws put in yet or anything.

in some of the pictures, you can see my hand pushing the splitter back onto the bumper, as if it was pulled in tighter (then screwed in place).

please excuse my dirty car...

this is the only "less than ideal" part of the fitment i could find. as i push it in, if fits nicely. but im not sure putting screws on the backside will pull that part in. maybe someone else can figure out something to help that part.

Looks great. I wonder If the screws on the back will be enough to get the sides to stay flat with the lines on the bottom of the bumper. Cant wait to get mine. I have to get my mirko fitted to my car!

That looks great Steve, thanks for making this happen. I get paid Friday the 13th I'll send $$$ thru PayPal OK. Just curious how much clearance from splitter to the ground?

Thanks again.

Look's good Steve thanks for posting the pix. For that one area for the duraflex version I was told if you heat it up you can actually reshape these things. I have never tried it but ED told me on some of my own Vette parts this can be done. I think a strong double sided tape would probably hold it in place really well. Im glad we finally got this done and apologize for the long wait. Can't wait to see thse installed on other vehicles, also can't wait to see the carbon versions.

NOW is the time to send in your balance payment if you want to receive the splitter in time for SZ. unless you'd like to have it shipped overnight.

please make plans to start sending in your balance payments. i will give you 30 days (from the date i posted the pics up) to do so. ED doesnt want to wait to be paid so i will probably pay for the entire balance myself this week. after 30 days, your splitter will be sold to someone on the waiting list and you will forfeit your deposit. i do not anticipate this happening to anyone here at all and i will make all attempts to contact anyone getting anyone near that position but i need to post it so its known.

once all these 15 splitters have been paid for and delivered, i will begin a new thread for the next GB. Pete says the next batch should only take 4-8 weeks since we now have the mold finished the way we want it. so people may still be able to get one during summer 2011.

i havent heard anything yet but they say theyll be in this week. just from what ive seen, when ED says that something will be arriving it seems to do so.
