EGR pipe solutions?

other ceg'rs have said its fine to keep and have it themselves

stop acting like your opinion is better than anyone else's around here

Fine to keep? Yes

Need to keep? No

Benefit to keep? No

As mentioned, if it were something that was truly important then Ford wouldn't have an OEM part to delete the EGR system. Its just extra work to keep the EGR that isn't really needed in the first place.

You really aren't helping your case. I'd quit arguing about EGR if I were you.
technically he is right, the whole point of EGR is to reduce NOx emmisions by lowering combustion temps. however, it is only in use during cruise conditions, not at WOT. that means it would do nothing to help lower the temps while your spraying nitrous.

Just delete it, its not worth trying to deal with bending tubes and the leaks that are likely to come from that.

It's fine to keep the EGR. But, if it is a pain in the ass for you to set up, why bother?

The purpose of the EGR is to reintroduce exhaust back into your combustion chamber which will lower NOx emissions, displace oxygen, and lower combustion temperatures(which reduces smog emissions). It can under some circumstances hinder performance to disable the EGR. Of course if you properly delete the EGR you wont really suffer many negative side effects. I am not exactly sure what the ford kit is comprised of. Just as long as the ECU knows the EGR is not present and is not functioning though, you shouldnt have any problem.

Bottom line is, if you do delete the EGR, you have less parts which could fail. But every time an EGR is deleted, a hippy has to hug a tree twice as hard.

and still, I say again, if it wasn't needed in the first place, it wouldn't have been there in the first place.
That's stupid. If you truly believe that, then you shouldn't put a 3L in your car, because it wasn't there in the first place.

ah, sweet man, thanks, I'd never seen that one.

I think it's a little funny black coog used zip ties and a uim bolt spacer to jerry rig his tb bracket and yall wanna call my build janky though....

Have you seen his car? :help: Do you know how many 3.0L builds he has done? If not, then you shouldn't be calling him out. He will destroy you.

Blackcoogs 3L builds are all still on the road from what I know. How many of your 3L builds are on the road KAOS_2.5M

Your :censored::censored::censored::censored: is janky as hell. It's the most extreme janky work I have ever seen, it doesn't even run! You spun bearing in how much time? How many miles did you put on that engine? I appreciate that you really want to get this done, in spite of maybe not having somewhere to live very shortly, but at least try and get it done right; send it to someone who knows how to do it right. Really, you should forget about the EGR, it's useless now anyway.

I don't have a full 3L now do I? How would that make any sense on a ported 3L with a SVT UIM. Obviously, I don't have it rigged up like that on my car.

I told people that is how they could do it on a full 3L if they didn't have any welding skills. Would a custom made spacer with a nice metal clip look more professional? Both would acheive the same result. Just because I used parts lying around doesn't mean it's a half ass job if it worked and those cars all all running fine. I don't sell full 3L's any more and haven't for a few years partly because of the various full 3L mods that can potentially cause install problems for the novice installer.

i worked on kyleQ's car a few times with him and chris did a wonderful job on the swap. the only thing that went bad on that car was the diff and the clutch (i call that kyle's foot's fault)

the tb bracket is something that should be changed, but it works. i wouldnt say chris's work is janky at all. actually, he's my friend, watch your mouth! just kidding. but seriously, we wouldn't have a working supercharger option for our car if it wasn't him, and i wouldnt have a sweet running 3L without the parts i "stole" from him hahaha

Oh of course he is right...about it being for emissions, which is why I was picking on him for making that post in the first place.
