this svt has been on and off ebay for almost a year now... they originally wanted ten grand for it....i like it too...i think its a steal at 5 grand. very unique

my favorite of the ppg cars. and sicilian, yes $5k, but reserve not met, so who knows. I'm watching it....wish i could buy it. wonder if theyll trade for a non rare stock svt, with 111k?

haha yes your right sorry i forgot to mention that...this place is about 3 hours away from me....if i had 2+ more grand i'd love to take a ride and look at this thing. a few things i don't like about it is the wheels and the dumb exhaust tips. everything else is:drool: and a part of history. at the bottom of the ad they state that the car will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson if not sold by January.

Think? How is this not a absolute bargain? BBS wheels and brembo brakes are probably worth almost half of the 5 grand?
Unless this thing can't be registered for road use?

i love the wheels. i think it gives the best factory look to the contour of most aftermarket wheels. and i love the tips! i want a sound clip dammit!

come to think of it...registering it for road use might be a PITA. i doubt any insurance company would do so following its mods. i know the brake kit and wheels are or near half the asking price. its just a really nice car, however here in PA i do see many pontiac and monte carlo pace cars on the road. it is a bargain believe me i know

if they put a fair BIN price i think it would sell quick. people just dont want to play runaround with them. Seller wants a price the people are willing to pay.

PPG was a major series sponsor at the time, and all the pace cars got custom paint done by PPG.
And fwiw, Supertrapps actually sound pretty good on these cars.

can't see ebay at work but I saw one of these cars in person at lime rock in CT. It was registared to the state of NY and the guy said he drove it to the track. iirc, it was the gold one that I saw.

Apparently the seller has all 3 pace cars. I would love to have the gold one.
It was really how they look I don't like. Maybe if they didn't stick out like 4inches they wouldn't look so bad.

Yeah, I always felt they stuck out too far on the pace cars too. Trapps, one of our "old farts" around here, did quite a bit of "development work" with the Supertrapps on his old SVT, and it looked and sounded pretty damn good.

That's only the starting price. The reserve is not met. I'm pretty sure they were trying to get in the $10k-12k range.
