I am trying to upgrade my door speakers to a set of boston z6's and was wondering how i would go about running the speaker wires out of the door to an external amplifier. I really don't want to put the crossovers in the door, but the only way I see this working is to leave them in the door and splice the factory harness inside the car. Has anyone ran speaker wire from the door? How do you get around or through the harness plug looking thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

easiest thing to do is tap into the existing speaker wires and put the cross over in the door. what i did was put the cross over between the foam barrier between the inside of the door and the door panel. on the front doors there is a chunk of foam that extends into an opening in the foam barrier. I cut this off and placed the cross over here so it wasn't in the door itself where water could get to it.
