Personally, I'd scuff them up with a scotch brite pad or something to make them look like brushed stainless or something. Just because there is no other chrome on the interior and they stick out.

I agree with part of that. I would keep the inner flat part of the ring shiney chrome, but the rounded edge that faces the driver scuffing that to match my blue/aluminum steering wheel oval and my Focus RS shift knob with aluminum insert.
