The only wierd thing about baer brake calipers is how the quality of the casting changes from one to another. Sam's "BAER" text is really shallow, and mine is very deep. Not sure how that happens, but oh well. Get those on your car already.

its probably due to age. The ones i sold sam were pretty old. I actually found the receipt in the stack i got from the guy i bought the car from - this car:

and it is interesting, because the slip is from 2002, and the kit he bought is a "Baer Eradispeed Combo Kit" and the part number is F5FS-45010-2, and i searched and couldnt find any information on an eradispeed kit for the contour at that part number. strange.

Sam- if you want, i can send you this receipt. Purchase price was $1150 !
 
My baer kit was for M!keys t-red pre98 way back in the day. I think 2002-03 also. His car went off to get a 3L so he bought that SF svt and put the Baers on that. Then sold the car to NVMYSVT(christina) and then she sold to dtour(dave) and before he sold the car I bought the kit from him.

I have wanted it since I saw them new sitting in Mike's garage with fresh red caliper paint on them..... I said then "I will have those some day". :laugh:

yeah, so when you got sams and saw the fresh red caliper paint it brought back memories? i am real glad i wasted my time on that!!! i put 30 miles on the paint!
 
Im sorry I went a different route on that paint. Im hoping since these are a little older that they will fit inside my ne-os without spacers. I have a set of spacers anyways just for this but I still need to get extended lug studs.

haha yeah i'm not too worried about, red calipers are pretty played out anyways.
