CF Lexus 2IS brings to you some CF LOVE!

CF on White

CF on White

As usual, white with unpainted CF =
puke.gif

Why have CF on a street car if you can't see it and/or "be seen" with it ?

BTW CF and White is my fav combo, it looks good and is seen on many "test" GT racing cars (body in white)....................:)

Personally i would paint it. I"m more of a sleeper and would rather enjoy the lighten body parts on a performance level (reduced weight).

Carbon fiber.....is just bragging rights when left unpainted.

The car reminds me of a transformer... or a 13 y/o girl with makeup and a stuffed bra begging for attention:shrug:. Whith that said it looks like there has been a lot of money and attention given to the car to keep it clean.

So I guess your thirst for compliments only lasted 3 months this time before you had to post more pictures of your exact same car to get compliments. I see your still pathetic and attention craving as ever. :nonono:

If the person posted the exact same hightowered lights 8 times in 2 years, then yeah, I think we would be justified to say as such. I didn't hate on his car the first time he posted it, just the 7 additional times he posted the exact same car and started to climb onto his pedistal. But you guys keep taking the bait and jumping though the hoop.
And what have I done with my car in the last 2 months? how about the last 8 years? The answer is still "nothing". I would never invest money my 10 year old Ford Contour. Instead I use my $ to expand and make more $ with my business. Seems a bit wiser in this economy than throwing $$ at a depreciating, underpowered, overpriced Toyota.

I didnt see the Rims last post.....owned, GG!!!

Noobs who see their car from point a to point b, its sad :nonono: Dont get mad the guy has money on the side to spend on his car to make him happy and he goes out and makes other people happy too, seeing how he got the sponsor.

Noob? seriously?? Anyways, I guess I wasn't attention starved as a child or something, Or maybe I just have a different way at looking at how I spend my $$. Rather than racking up all sorts of debt by spending $$ I don't have, or living paycheck to paycheck to have material things so I can impress others and fill that empty void in my life. I have fun driving my car, but ultimately, its just transportation. But your right, I guess its sad compared to the other scenario:shrug:

lmao...no chit. Post some pictures? Are they expensive? how much lighter are they? (30lbs)?

the stock doors weigh about 80 lbs a piece, with all the hardware stripped out. they are just starting to make the molds for them, they are just under $1000 for a pair shipped to my door if they are preordered. I am really just that anal about rust. I dont know how much lighter they are yet, quite a bit though, but my escort is a street car, so I am going to add reinforcements to the door, so they will be heavier than the plain CF doors.

The company that does them actually just does fiberglass with CF overlays, the parts are really just fiberglass with one layer of CF, so it is mostly for show. But it seems like it would be kinda patchy to me to have the doors CF, the panels around painted, the hood and hatch CF. Especially since I am planning on keeping it white. I will be buying from Pierce Motorsports, they have a company they go through for all their parts, they make hatches and hoods for the escorts too. I could get both doors, the hood and the hatch delivered to my door for $1800, but I am not sure yet whether I can afford that with the stuff I am collecting for my AWD conversion. Even my AWD conversion may get more spendy since I am considering going toyata for the trans and rear axle, and the adapter plate is $260, plus the cost of the trans and rear end, plus I would be paying another chunk of change to pierce motorsports to make me a new rear crossmember.... meh

Probably just stick to the GTX engine and trans, since I dont plan on going to big on power. Anyways, yeah, as long as I pick up the doors, I will mount them and take pics before painting them.

God I love how cheap escorts are to fix up. WOW there are a lot of new parts in the 4 years I have been away from them. And there are becoming more and more ways to get to low 12s and possibly 11s with these escorts. Especially with the toyota transmissions now to replace our glass mazda transmissions.

Ummmm...I don't know CarpePoon personally, but from what I know about him, I'd say he's not hurting for money AT ALL. What he said was exactly correct about dumping a ton of money into a depreciating car. Maybe he's just smarter and more practical than 99% of the people on here.

Life is fun. Everything you do is depreciating. Going on vacation with your family is depreciating. Doing something you love, depreciating....

Lighten up have some fun! Yes thousands of dollars into a car, I couldve put a down payment on a house by now instead of wasting all of it into my CSVT. At the end truthfully and reasonably I would want the house. But at the end, I woulda had no fun the whole ride since I was a youngster. I dont regret my decision. But it can be looked at my way as live your life go all out, live paycheck to paycheck. Have some fun and save some money incase of emergency. or have no fun and go after the house and make more money for the future... Choose one and do it different strokes for different folks.

Either way. That car is sick and you cant say no to that!

I don't see the problem in honest criticism. I know it's hard for some people to believe, but there are those who think this car is distasteful.. some of us poor old Contour owners can actually afford cars with more bling or status, but happen to really like what we have. It has nothing to do with jealousy.

...and because it's not a car that I care for in the first place, I am less forgiving than if it were a car or part of a scene that I like or think is interesting.. such as the Contour and the CEG.

Anything that screams "look at me", car or not, without substance underneath is just annoying to me. The CF sideskirts might as well be a ten foot wing.

And finally, he only comes here to fish for compliments anyway, so why should anyone feel bad about hurting his feelings?

I'm too lazy to waste any time on this guy, but just take a look at his profile, and click on "View all threads started by Robsdaace"

Maybe then you will understand how most of us feel.

But it can be looked at my way as live your life go all out, live paycheck to paycheck.

THIS is the problem with society today. No regrets, don't bother saving any money, spend every penny you have...

I guess I should go buy myself a Z06 Corvette, just because I can.
