Ok so here's the news. I had to wait until today to be sure it was official.
Mike, aka Cobra, aka my man-beetch, accepted an offer for a position at BAE Systems!
You may have heard about some new technology being developed by them in the news recently.

He'll be working on that contract. His start date is 8/11/08.
This is HUGE news for us. It's a 28% pay increase for Mike, which has been long overdue. He'll finally be getting paid what he deserves for his background.
But it's about more than just salary.
BAE has a really great work atmosphere. They care about employees. Once you're in, you're in for life because you'd be crazy to leave a place like that.
Mike has been trying to get into BAE since college through friends that work there, but with no success until now.
So we're excited and hopeful that this will be the job that takes Mike all the way to retirement. schweeeeeeet!
And NO, good God no, I am not pregnant! NevAr!
It was kinda fun making you think so. Thanks Elky - although I think you're the one who should be announcing THAT sort of news out of the group.
So anyway, I want to celebrate, and I was hoping you guys would like to join us. I told Mike I'd like to have a little party for him to celebrate. Maybe dinner and then back to our place to goof off (and smoke some of them cee-gars).
Or maybe something like doing a drive-in movie in Milford NH.
