Brian Mohorcic's cameleon SVT Contour

I think this is great - even though I don't like all of it, and wouldn't do all of it on my own car, kudos for doing what you want, and doing it well! I personally LOVE the color. That said, I'm not a fan of any color in so many places - it seems a little overkill. I probably would have left the interior alone if it were my car - but then again, I'm not even remotely capable of doing anything you've done. It definitely looks to be high quality work! I don't like the hood cutouts at all, nor the license plate placement in the rear. I'm interested to see how the roof rails do after a bit of time and outdoor exposure - I hate the way my faded chipped ones look, and would love to get rid of them. The splitter looks amazing! I also really really want to see some pics of this all cleaned up and in the sun. I LOVE this color!

when i built the car the hoood wasnt my choice of doin but wanted to try sumthing different, i dont like being the same as people, thats why the cars kameleon and for the trunk and licence plate, i do that on ever custom car i build its kinda like a trademark for me, have door handles they take the smooothness of the car away, the roof rails ive always painted then sand and scuffed very good, and them adhestion promotor sealer base coat clear and there perfect, and for to much color when i come around to figuing out a way to get my old hood, the hood thats on the orange contour, i will paint roof black woith the middle of the hoood black and for the speaker box in the trunk fullly fiberglassed and built from nothing and i did do eveything too this car so for the none beleivers, i may only be 23 but i know what im doin and if i didnt, i wouldnt work and a dealer ship painting cars for a living, and i didnt work at no kia dealer either, i worked at a cadillac dealer for three years and quit there on my own to go to a lincoln dealership, so for alll the bad feed back so far, thats fine everyone has there own thoughts and ways of doin thing, and these are my ways and thanks for the people who do give me credit on it, it didnt happen over night its been a project and its stillll not done, thanks for everyone thats loooked at it

I give you a lot of credit man and Im sure everyone does as well. Although, I dont like things here and there, as long as you like it is all that matters. I have painted a car before and it is not easy. My Contour is going to be a custom color as well as I am sick of seeing the same old crap. People here are set on seeing the same thing. There are only a couple of guys on here I give credit to and you are now one of them.

Good luck on your journey and Everyone wants to see pictures outside. So push the sucker outside before the weather gets worse and take pictures! And keep updating!

Couldn't have said it better myself. In the end its all about the owner and whether they like how things have turned out. No offense to anyone on here... but when my car is finished it's going to be something I created to satisfy my tastes... not something the masses of CEG wanted to see

Kudos on the car again, can't wait to see the final product.

yeah thanks alot and itll be done soon motor is being finished up as we speak and then interior will be finished next month hoping to find the hood i want soon so i can finish up with that and see everyone at the spring show

i think the hood vents could work if they werent so geometric. if they were rounded off it would be better.

what goes on the 2 pegs in the trunk?

.......................<-- please use them

I've tried and thought about alotta things that was the night before I painted the car and dint want a stock hood so I did that, I don't think they look bad just the mess I'm not liking, but I want the evo hoood bad, I had it on my old contour so hopefullly I an find one sooon

amazing color. love the smooth dash, looks awesome. thats a lotttttttttttttttttt of work. i think you have wayyy too much freetime haha. mad props, i want to keep track of this build and see where you take it to next. good job smokeez

Everything looks pretty clean considering your paint scheme is pretty flashy/show-carish... but im really not digging the mesh on the hood. it'd look alot better if it were more flush like the mesh in the fenders... you should also paint the mesh black IMO.

great start, keep up updated on the progression

The hood is just a practice run through, right? Along with all the vents on the fenders?

I'd love to see a stock CSVT painted with that color, midnight blue interior with the inserts done in that color (like the Cobra's) and some nice rims. I just don't get this licence plate relocation stuff, didn't that go out with Vanilla Ice?

nice to meet everyone, im brian mohorcic and thats my csvt, thats not a mirko, i custom made that splitter, and yes it does look the same as the miko i made it outta fiberglass and yes its molded to the bumper, and the hood the contour that was posted on the forums the other day, it was orange and on ebay for sale that was my old contour, i did all the custom work and paint and 3.0L to that car also, that was my first csvt, and the hood on that car is the one that i wanna put on my kameleon car but i cant find one and i didnt wanna leave it stock so i did cut vents in it for the time being, im not a fan of the cowled hood that much but i may have to get one cause i cant find the hood on my own car anyone wanna sell one, im will to pay

2nd custom csvt, kameleon and new 3.0L coming soon

Sorry Brian, I usually don't post this sort of thing, but like the run on of paint on the car, mix in a period every so often. A period ends things, like a period for the car and all the work you've done, why not just go out and get a base Contour with a Zetec and automatic. CSVT's are becoming more and more rare, unless you started with an absolute turd:shrug: I can appreciate all the time, effort and money but IMO this project wasn't well planned out.

Klasse act, just stop.

Obviously the car is not finished. yeah he bought that car rocked, it had 164 thousand miles on it... no motor.... Everything was F'ed. The interior was shot. That car as it sits now is basically a total rebuild that started a year ago. Id love to see you some of your work.

To everyone in general:

You guys have officially embarrassed the hell out of me; :nonono: (besides the few on here that can can give constructive criticism) I am lost for words.

THE ONLY REASON THIS CAR IS EVEN POSTED ON HERE IS BECAUSE I TALKED BRIAN INTO LETTING ME POST PICTURES ON HERE BEFORE THE CAR WAS FINISHED. I knew several people on here would be interested and i have never ran into a problem with people just putting down a car altogether. I mean you guys do realize that it is not done and your basically beating down a year of hard work. (people take that stuff personally FYI) Brian specifically told me that he hates forms and everyone is a critic with time to give people a hard time. I told him that was not the case with contour.org everyone on here "has been super nice to me and i have gotten deals through here. " So he said go ahead, but don't be surprised when people just criticize my car.

:wtf:

Antec, I have no work to show you, I'm a car detailer on the side and the only work I could show you is some of the cars I've detailed. I don't know the "proper" word for it, but that hood just doesn't flow at all, everyone can see that. Maybe a pencil and paper and a BIG eraser before you go cutting and such. I said I can appreciate all the hard work because I'm sure it was hard, but IMO its just not that well thought out.

That being said, can't wait to see the finished product:shrug:

If you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen. It's definitely very different so there are going to be people that don't like it. Deal with it and move on.

^ agreed! Some will like and some wont. My car is going to be completely different and some people will like it and some people will not. I dont give 2 turds what anyone says about it.

The color looks great. I would like to see the car completed as well. Give us some more pics in the sun!
