^^^^^^^^^ hahaha, Ryan - they are one of few companies that makes a decent "glow gauge" to match the main gauges glow.... I have them too so I am a bit partial
. But, that's probably the reason.

You guys have officially embarrassed the hell out of me; :nonono: (besides the few on here that can can give constructive criticism) I am lost for words.

welll i see alota of people leaving comments on the roof trim, theroof trims i had taking outta the car when i painted it, i painted them off the car, the whole car was taking apart when i painted it, the is no tape lines i paint cars for aliving i dont do nothing the cheap way, and yes im trying to be different from everyone else that had contours, some people like and some people dont and bottom line is i like it, so u guys can have say and thats fine, at the end of the day itsmy car and i like it. and the steering wheel was fiberglassed just like the dash, cause it was all ripped apart and thats a different steering wheel then everyone elses
I don't really know what you're complaining about. Responses have been far more subdued than I expected. Members of forums not going to be supportive and nurturing like your parents and teachers. When you post something like this on a car forum with members of all ages from all walks of life, the best you're going to get are honest opinions.
I love the effort and enthusiasm that has gone into this project. I give you an A for effort, but some corners were cut (like painting over the roof trim), some decisions were questionable (like painting the steering wheel) and I don't think the hood and body mods go with the look of the car at all.
I get the feeling you guys are young and learning, and from that POV it's really a great job. However, if you continue to develop your skills, you'll probably look back one day and appreciate what some people here are saying.
no when i painted the car, the entire car was taking apart i painted all the jams door jams trunk jams inside the door inside the trunk then hung the panals back on the car, then i took the car and painted the whole outside of the car, so that the paint would 100 percent match and yes u can not panal paint kameleon, it will not have the same over lay and color flop, and like u said the black roof trim in the middle of a beautiful paint job doesnt work for me, but thanks for the compilments the car is nice and its how i like it, and everyone has there thoughts.
I don't think the guy's a hack at all, but painting over things and painting EVERYTHING the same color can be a bit much. Now honestly, not since the small truck craze of the early 90's when people were jammin' Vanilla Ice and cutting lines into the side of their heads was the re-located license plate thing cool and its even angled too, come on now. Alot of people here are enthusists and hate seeing an SVT get done this way. It was like that back in the day with that guy Rob who put the twin fishtanks in the trunk of his CSVT and did that wild ass jungle type paint job. Quality work for sure, but noone here really liked it and thought he should've used a Taurus, same effect w/o ruining a perf car, especially now that they're even more rare. That car also had some huge, ugly chrome rims on it. Maybe someone can dig up those pics. Last time I saw it at Cobo Hall it had orange on it and 7 series tailights incorporated into it....nuff said!
That being said, keep pluggin' away pefecting your craft!
welllll since vanillla ice is back out from the 90s everyone can see that hes not just a rapper, he has some car enthusiast in him, all because this car isnt what u guys want it to be and isnt the way u guys think csvt should be done, well thats ur style this is mine and if u dont like it i reallly dont care too much, im not 10 imnot gonna go cry to my mom about it, i could care less what u guys say, and for the books it has a built liter if u must know, i outting npg forged pistons and rings and there rods and bearing in it, so no its not stock at all if u guys must know, i dont do just body and paint i do it alllll
He makes a very good point that somehow manages to get glossed over on this forum all too much. He's not ruining an SVT. He's making the SVT his own. I for one greatly enjoy this car because he took his SVT and went his own direction, rather than follow with the high count of mirrored SVT's on here. Yes, you are all entitled to your opinions. With the overzealous elitism of the general SVT owners on here though...your opinions are highly skewed in one general direction. While I am a CDW27 enthusiast, I know the SVT is a little bit more special than your average Contour/Mystique...but at the end of the day it's still just a Contour. So to claim he ruined a perfectly good car is just asinine, especially if he's personally enjoying the car and all the work building up to the finished product. I consider him more of an enthusiast than most just for that fact.
