Yup , bought another bike . I've always liked this bike - it's a '91 Suzuki Bandit 400 (GSF400) - he's had it since new , and has driven the heck out of it , until he parked it a couple years ago when he bought a new V-Strom . It's got some go-fast goodies , like jetting & stuff , and a Yoshi exhaust and a few other bits like a two-over rear sprocket , a cafe fairing & a solo seat . He also sent along some spares & a factory workshop manual . Now I have the job of draining/cleaning the tank & re-doing the carbs on account of it sitting with old gas in it . Gonna give the brakes a go-over too ... can't be too safe , ya know . Oh yea , and a heck of a clean-up too !

bike doesn't really do it for me as am not a big fan of bikes in general. the redhead kid on the other hand? hecka cute. she's big now. i remember when u posted pix of her when she was born.

That's a good looking bike, particularly with the cafe fairing. If you're thinking of painting, you should do the tank, fairings, and wheel cover (forget the real name for that) in flat gunmetal and polish up the red frame and components, Ducati-style. In my unasked-for opinion, of course.

Either way, nice pick up.

Sweet! Another project for you and then you can drive the wheels off of it. ;)

Marie is getting more adorable everyday day! She's a cutie.

I'm gonna get the bike up & running & drive the snot out of it , just as Tom (my friend) has all these years . He was getting sad seeing it loaded up on the truck & geting a new home , but he knows it'll be well cared for . I think he's done really well with the mods he's done over the years . The bike's no virgon , it's got scuffs & scrapes , but that's just fine . I bought it to drive . Eventually , if I tear the bike down , I believe it'll get a silver frame , like the blue Bandits had . I'll have more pics as it gets fixed up - can't wait to get that solo seat piece on ! The white wheels are gonna be a bugger to keep clean , lol ... :(

Glenn - I DO drive my projects , fool :p ! The SVT was an exception though :troutslap:

Thanks for the baby comments too - my best purchase yet , lol ! She's definately gettin' big - she's 9-months now . She's got a couple teeth , is crawlin' all over , and has a king-sized attitude , lol !

haha... yeah.. thats why i love my black wheels. plus the style of mine are a PITA so clean.

nice pick up. we def need pics after you fix her up

Now this is more proper w/the solo seat - too bad it didn't last too long . It's now all torn apart . I've got the tank off , along with the side covers & the airbox & stuff , working my way down to removing the carbs to (clean 'em out) . I just wanted a bit of inspiration before tearing into it . Anywho , here are a couple pics ...

I had the bike outside today to work on it - I have the tank & some of the covers off & I'm messin' w/the carbs , when my neighbor comes over & asks if it's a Ducati . I guess my friend wasn't full o'poop when he told me he's had that happened to him several times . Gotta love the look of that trellis frame , Ducati or not ...
