CRG Racer24
Hard-core CEG'er
wow, thats mini-truck low!
That's touring car low!
Josh, keep up the good work! I especially love this build because it's a race car/track car build.

Please tell me the graphics will be gloss black!
How close do you think the side skirts are going to be to the ground? You're still going to use them, right?
Funny you mention my weight. I'm on a weight reduction mission there too. I've taken 42 lbs out of the drivers seat so far.
I will have a pictoral update tonight if time allows, but the good news is she lives again, and will be driven to the paint booth Saturday....
Nice build thread, I've been following it for a while. Just curious, what dampers are you using? If you're going to be running it that low at 1G static without modified towers and top-mount camber plates, surely you can't have much bump stroke left...? And since you're using a 24mm bar, I'm thinking your rear spring rate wouldn't be that outrageously high to compensate for the lowness. As a reference, I've recently changed to very stiff rates and am consequently removing both sways to test the improvement to cornering grip and stability. What rates are you going with front and rear?
Just curious because I'm really interested to see how this project turns out. By the way, if you still need anyone to evaluate and give feedback on the control arms in a combination street, autocross, and track environment, very willing and able OEM chassis guy right here...just throwing that out there!onder:
Getting to be past my bed time... needs more pics!

So it sounded like you were saying you'd have maybe 1" of bump stroke, which would start damaging things especially when clipping apex berms. Anyway, still very interested in what rates you go with after the car is weighed. That picture is about 1" lower than the car will sit after the new springs.
I wasn't referring to the ride height of the picture alone, but this:
