BLKOUT2: Rebirth. PRT 2011 track car build thread.

naked as in primer with over spray on it, and if bedliner or even rattle can is so heavy then why leave the rubber/tar paper junk all over the floor pan? just saying it would look much nicer in one color man. you have so much work in it IDK why you wouldnt want the inside to be at least one color... just my $.02

1) The floor deadoning IS coming out...notice it's already been done in the rear.
2) Over spray my ass, I painted any bare metal as I exposed it removing interior sheet metal.
3) Why? Because race car.

Not trying to come off as a dick, but dude, I'm going to either flip this thing or pile it into a wall someday. Who cares if my interior is one color...

So last night was a fun one for me. I finally started working on the wiring harness revisions...but I forgot my camera so I'll have pictures tonight of the dash and interior harnesses completed.

Must...not...push...button...

On topic:

Josh, have you compared the weight of the OEM suspension parts to yours? I was just curious if you're cutting some fat from all that stuff.

I would love to see a before and after vehicle weight.

I know the coil overs and associated hardware provide a minor weight savings. The control arms are roughtly the sam weight as stock. The brakes will add a fair amount of weight once I get them mounted. But I think the Braking performace will make it worth the sacrafice. What ican do is weight my silver car for a before as It's set up about the same as BLKOUT2 used to be.

the weight comparison would be very interesting to see in the end. I know you did alot of weighing before to see what you where previously saving.

that heavy? I thought cougars where heavier (according to terry I believe)?

--------------------------------------------

looked it up, here's the weights

C-SVT: 3068 lbs

Cougar: 2892lbs. (same weight listed for both engines)

C-SE: 2769 lbs (only had specs for the I4)

whatever man, now YOUR clogging up the thread. the discussion of painting the interior has died...

Not really...I am just reiterating as to why certain things are not going to happen on the car. For those type of people who don't like to go back and read a page or two back as to what is happening.

How did the car feel power/weight wise when you did have it out on the road?

There has been a request to clean up this thread of all the non-informational posts...so just stop so there's less of your •••• to delete if they do...

ok guys. this topic needs to stay on topic. This is everyones warning.

This thread will get cleaned up, and all the crap replys will be deleted.

This is a build thread, and from reading the thread we can all see that Pole120 knows what he is doing/wants to do and doesn't need everyone telling him how they would complete his own project, especially since most if not all of us know what his plans are.

infractions will be issued after this time without any further warning.

Just for clarity, I'm going to ask, so does this mean we can't complement the work anymore? Or that we can just don't try to tell him what to do I'm assuming....
