i absolutetly agree nothin urkes me more to here guys or gals call any of the svt products by there model names first ie..focus svt contour svt its like saying the model of the vehicle before the maker mustang ford or silverado chevrolet just as the shirts should say svt contour svt focus etc etcIs this a joke? You cannot be serious.
Contour/Mystique Lightning? What the hell do either of these cars have to do with a Lightning?
Contour SVT? If you are going to make a design, at least make it right. It's SVT Contour.
settle down noobs, it is Contour SVT (as funny as it sounds).
at least someone else on this site is in the right frame of mindNo, it's not.
SVT is a model of the car, not the other way around. Proper naming is Company, Ford; Car model, Contour; and then Trim/Package level, SVT, GL, Sport, LX, SE.
SVT doesn't make cars, they make a trim level.
Plus they list displacement as 10:1  and compression as 8.5:1 :help:. Great site.of course that site loses credibility in this argument since they list the hp going from 160 to 190 for a 'sporty 98 contour se' to the svt
musta been thinkin bout the contour vtec
One question.....
Will they be spelled Lightning or Lightening?
i remember this argument on this website before, back when many of you were still running late to 1st period. i recall it clearly because it was totally backwards from what i thought it would be. i too was a young padawan myself. although i still just refer to it as an "svt contour" because the other way just sounds wierd..
