And TECHNICALLY, you can't "legally" pull away hard.. Its called "excessive acceleration" and carries a ticket/fine as well, even if you are WELL under the speed limit.
actually, here in florida, its a 113.50 dollar fine called "exhibition of speed/acceleration"! Trust me on that one, was doing 40 in a 45 when the cop pulled me over. I was like, there was no way I was speeding, but he said that after I started going, he coudl tell I got on it through first and partially into second, so hit his lights before I continued. Exhibition of acceleration was the ticket, I didnt think it was illegal as long as you didn't burn the tires. He told me thats called unsafe start, and everything besides driving like a grandma is technically illegal... he was making a point with me though! Jerk!
