Non Matching Taillights?

So I was in my Sebring the other night and I pulled up behind my Contour while parking and I noticed that my taillights didn't match :blackeye:. Perhaps one of them was damaged by the previous owner. I have a 1996 Contour SE. If I remember correctly, my car's stock taillights were only around from 95 to 96. Then in 98 they changed to a new design. So which taillight is stock and which is not. Also, where did the other one come from

the one on the drivers side is from a post98 contour

Ya deff. Pass side is stock ,Drivers not... its the big chunk of reflector on the bottom of the dirvers that gives it away.

Oh wow, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess the previous owner couldn't find pre98 parts so he just grabbed a post98 light instead .

The Mystique has chrome on the bottom. That's not a Mystique tail.

i must have got lucky cause this one doesn't and i took it off the merc myself sweet
