Next FL meet Fort Myers July 14th-15th

Ok next FL meet is going to be held here in Fort myers FL at Lakes Park..July 14th..We havent yet found a hotel but theres plenty in the area..average price 80-100 a night..I will be getting the adress of the park soon and will post more info about it..So come on lets all make this another great meet..We will crash the car meet about 3 mins away with all the SVT's maybe go down to the beach thats about 15-20 mins away..I wanted to get this Thread posted now so everyone can plan on it now..PS.The park has alot to do from paddle boats to miles of nature walk..We should reserve a pavelion since it will be hot and because it might be busy and we cant just take one...

Its little far for me but I'll be there! It seems a better place considering miami CEGers don't have such a bad drive this time. I just feel bad for the Ocala and Orlando folks.

Looks like me a few other 'tours will be heading down together. :cool:

Now I have to think a few mods to do.

Yep theres me Kyle and cody here Suriel is here i'll try to get in touch with him soon but hes always working it seems like..your about 2 hrs from here kerry and orlando about 2.5 with the way we drive..LOL..

You guys made me drive that fast. I swear until that criuse, I have never averaged over 85 mph on the highway for that amount of time. :crazy:

But it was fun. :laugh: I'll make sure I bring my 2-way radios this time so I don't have to yell out my window.
 
Damn, I might be in N.Y. for that weekend but it's not set in stone yet. If I'm around, I'll most likely attend.
 
Ok shelter prices are 25.00 for a small one with 2 grills seats 30 people..Plenty for what were doing right?..Please let me know so i can reserve this one..They do fill up quick on the weekends so the sooner the better.

Blast47, hopefully Randy can make this so we can have a shield against laser radar. Otherwise I'll borrow my friend's Escort again.
 
Im hoping mine will be all ready by this meet as well its no looking so good right now but i have faith that she'll be alive again..
 
I didn't care so much for Ponderosa at the last meet (although it was fine -- minus the spaghetti on my white shirt, lol), but Golden Corral was an excellent choice for breakfast in the morning and there IS a Golden Corral in Ft. Myers :)
 
Sounds good guys! I will mark it down on my calander and hope for the best. 3 hrs and 15 mins away, wooohooo! I bet I can make it in 2 flat, J/K. Is Brent in on this?

Like Vinny, I may be out of town that weekend (in Chi Town). My Sis is due to have her second kid. We, shall see.

Doubt I'll make this one but I am going to be coming to some part of Fl for vacation end of june beginning of July don't know where yet but I'll let everyone know if you want to meet up.

Sorry bout that! Hooters was suggested, but got outvoted (and NOT by the women!) I do have to agree tho, that really wasnt a great choice, especially when the waiter lifted my cold baked potato off my plate with his bare hands!! LOL!!

Yes that was just wrong we'll go to hooters for sure down on the beach theres a large parking lot across the street from the place we shall over take it with the tours.

Haha, but as an "observer" it was kind of funny -- though I would have lost it it was my potato, haha. Having not been there before, I probably would have suggested it too :)

The buffet idea is great for a meet, everybody can get what they want and as much as they want for not too much money and that is perfect in my book! lol.
 
For never been to Ponderosa before, it was ok. I enjoyed the buffet portion because you could just keep going back for more if needed. Golden Corral is a perfect breakfast place, so its on the top of my list of breakfast resturants.

Hooters couldn't be all bad. Just keep in mind that we may get loud, so lets try and avoid "family" resturants.
