I couldn't find a recent "post your garage" thread. After years of temporary living and moving every 4-5 years my family and I are finally ready to settle down and spread some roots. I've gone from no garage, to a car-port, to one stall, two stalls, and can finally buy a house we want to stay in until the kid(s) are grown. My demand list for garage space was at least 2 stalls on the house with an additional detached garage or land to build one.
So here she is, Closed on the house 2 weeks ago but are renting to the prior owners until June while they build a new house and also thats when my wifes current work obligations are complete. The detached is 35'x40' complete with heat, A/C, hot/cold water, plumbed compressed air system, central vac, tv, internet and has a full 16x34' suite upstairs with its own heat and a/c.
(listing photo, all our photos have over 1' of snow everywhere)

Very nice! Is the ceiling in the remote garage tall enough for a 2 post lift? If not, you better believe I would be ditching the upstairs suite!!

I can't wait to move out of this goddamn city!

Very very nice!

I just closed on a house and I am only going to have a carport - this makes me jealous

Awesome house and shop!! I could make lots of money with a shop and office space setup like that. I would hate to pay the property tax on something like that though.

You d!ck! :)
thank you
You ••••ing d!ck! :D
and thank you too!
Soo you have 5 garage spots?
The detatched is technically 2-deep, so 7 if you want to get technical:)

It's only about $4200 a year. Gotta love MI. I was paying that much for my POS 1100sq ft 1952 shanty in IL.
I'd post interior house photos but being a car forum I didn't know if I should?
I know the large door is 10 or 11' so the ceiling is 11 or 12'. The lift would fit but I'd only be able to work while standing under low sports cars (there's an idea!)
I'm also debating on expoxy coating the floor and painting the walls.

Do it, you will love it. Plus cleanup will be a breeze.

I have it on my current floor, it was done by the prior owner just before I moved in (5ish years ago) and love it but I've had alot of problems with hot tire pick-up. I don't want to expoxy coat this much sqft. and have the same issues again. The floor is very smooth polished concrete in both new garages, so I don't know if that would cause even more pickup issues.
