What the benefit of these over boxed lower control arms be?

Aaron

well for one you are removing the rubber mounts. so you are going to get a harsher/stiffer ride. They probably still are stronger than the boxed ones.

nice long long term advantage is its servicable. Nothing to wear out that cant be replaced.

Guys,

Wouldn't we have the best of both worlds if we simply welded tubing to the stock control arms? They would be stiffer w/o the harshness because the stock bushings would still be used. Just thinking aloud here.

Thanks :). I will keep checking back on this GB.

There are 2 problems with the 2 bolt arms. 1) the flimsy construction, which boxing helps with; 2) the wrong direction rubber bushings.

The tubular + heim arms address both of those issues. The people with 4 bolt arms would only have the 1st problem, which boxing would help. Heims for the 4 bolters would still help, but not nearly as much as it would for the 2 bolt arms.

This timing kind of sucks... I was trying to find that Stangkiller guy last year and he was MIA. I ended up getting new boxed arms from Bradness. While his product is high quality, I was really wanting to get the tubular arms.

Well....... mark me as a maybe. I have several projects I'm saving for, but if this is the last time he's going to make these arms, I'll want to see if I can budget them in.

im not trying to rain on this thread, BUT i honestly dont think this will be of any benifit to guys with the 4-bolt arms. IMO the only thing it will do is increase the ride harshness. IF you do feel a difference its likely because the bushings were worn out.

I felt a huge difference when i replaced my 241K mile (yeah i know i should have replaced them sooner) arms with new ones.

i need new control arms. 2 bolt style bushings are shot i was about to order. i'm interested
