Audi 5K: Mobil 1 0W40, Mahle or Mann filters every 10K
Subaru: Cheapest 5W30 I can find, either Denso or Full filters every 5K.

SVT Contour has Mobil 1 5w30 in it ... drained every three months as I don't drive much.
Wife's Mystique has Mobile 1 5w30 ... drained at about 7,500miles ... that's with about 160,000 miles on the clock and counting.
Both vehicles use Ford filters.
FWIW ... my Esprit uses 20w50 with 1,500 mile changes

The is no "Mobil 1 5000".
Mobil 1 is synthetic.
Mobil 5000 is conventional dino oil. It is still very good oil, but it is not Mobil 1.

The SVT gets Mobil 1 5w-30 every 5K
Mobil 1 filter if they have it when I buy the oil, if they don't, then motorcraft.
The Focus gets whatever the Ford dealership puts in it every 5K (got the oil change plan with the car)...

5k on Mobil1 is a waste of cash when it can easily go 7.5-10k.

Either. They're both great for extended drain intervals.
Trust me I still have friends that change their own oil every 3000 miles and I've given up on talking them out of it. They're still stuck in 1985 but there is no reason you guys should be! Even MaxLife and Motorcraft are super synthetic blends that can do 5000 miles any day of the week.

volvo recommends 7500 miles on the synthetic blend oil they use...i change every 3500-3750
