Resetting the AIRBAGS (SRS)

Well, The car was in a wreck. Airbags were deployed and so now i put new ones in. How can I reset them so my airbag light stops blinking? I know on my dad's car you just ground a orange wire and wait for it to "beep" 3 times. Does anyone know? thanks -Jon

No i didn't. That might do it. Is there anywhere i can find the codes? It flashes 3 time and there is a pause and then once, so i think its telling me code 31. If i can find a code list, i should be able to figure out exactly what i must replace. thanks for your help

Thanks for your help. I checked and it actually is 51.... my bad. So, 51=Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Internal Thermal FuseFuse Blown Due to Intermittent Short to Ground. Is that the Airbag Diagnostic Monitor, you talked about? Or something else? Again thanks so much, I relly would like to get this sorted out, then everything will be back to normal.

Yes. You need a new Airbag Diagnostic Monitor. I would be hesitant to get one from the junkyard.
