What are the best plugs to go with on a stock motor and what are the gap requirments?
best plugs are motorcraft or autolite, basically the same, make sure they are double platnium.
gap to 0.048 to 0.056, never trust a pre-gap, always check and set yourself

Not to be a thread hi-jacker, but why do the Autolites need to be double-platinum? I put regular platiums in and do not have a problem...

the spec for the car is double platnium, also I had single platniums in my car for awhile and it ran fine also ... but the spec is the spec ...
iirc the autolite number is APP764

Thanks everyone for there input. I bought some Heet for the car and havent had any problems since? Hopefully this issue is laid to rest!
