i guess its a possibility but I've never seen one that came like that. I assumed it was changed with body styling since thats an exterior piece, but you may be right.

i have seen many 98+ non-svt's with the pre-98 antenna bases. my aunt drives a black 98 and it has the pre-98. i assume some svt's must have come with them

I'm not arguing the point b/c it is possible for the early 98's to have had the chrome bases but I've had 3 Eo's & none have came with it.

BTW... my car has a pre-98 antenna base and I don't think anyone added it because it was def there before it got repainted.
