I remember about a year or so ago lots of threads about CEG dying and crap... however, it seems to me like CEG is staying alive and fun to be on again. With the intro of new supercharger and turbo kits (nautaulis, blackcoog), bugzuki intake manifold plates for 3L swaps, 1 of 4 or 5 roush bondurant SVTs now on forums, good group buys and cool shirts from toursvt, Joeys upcoming LIM to mate up to the 3L oval ports without porting heads and with capabilities for direct port nitrous or water injection, etc....... the list goes on. Lots of new Contique owners lately as well.

At least EGL is hopping; maybe that is why we are hosting spring zing in MI again! :D

I also just noticed the long standing most users on line record for this site has been overtaken on 29 June 07, I will say though a lot of my efforts in my cars are shifting to the Fusion but I'll never let the contour go to the waste side

Not to mention the huge influx of 3L swaps - Every week I see another thread about donig a 3L.. Great to see! I wish I could say the same for my local SVTOA

Ya, I know, the reason I haven't done the 3L swap is I got the for cylinder and it's way to much work and besides my wife would kill me for trying another engine swap after wasting a truck load of money on the failed triton swap.

the only problem with that is that the 3L swap is straight-forward, documented, repeateable, AND we can help on any little snags you get. Triton? Bah. you're on your own, there.

Do a 3L either way!

Yeah but they all live in MI. :)

Umm... 3L Duratac is located in the TC. TRicker blew up his 2.5 and built a 3L in under a month in his DD... He never had plans for a 3L in the first place. There are more 3L CSVT's in MN then you may think..

I joined CEG back in March, and it was the greatest decision I have made this year! (Besides breaking up with my ex-gf...) I check this stupid site every single day!

I check it every single time I check my myspace and facebook. I open FireFox; www.myspace.com; log in to myspace; ctrl+t; www.facebook.com; log in to facebook; ctrl+t; www.contour.org/ceg-vb; log in to the forums.

^I get so much practice doing that, It takes me approximately ten seconds...

Only 300 miles from where I live. Not only that but the guys in MI all you have to do is cook them food and give them beer and let them oogle your womans boobies and that is the only thing you have have to pay for besides the engine.

If you would reverse your login order, you would save approximately 9 seconds logging in to CEG. Better, yet, drop the other crap sites..
:)

I can't change the order. I have like, the super-duper coordination knowing where the tabs are on the browser. This way I can actually check everything, including read up on most of the new posts within mere minutes. Lol I'm such a loser :D

Michigan is closer? If you can pull the engine, you can drop in a 3L. All I'm saying is that they have expirence building quite a few of these engines - I'm sure the people you know as well can do a good job, but having somthing more local in case of support is easy.

It takes about two hours to get to the Minnesota Michigan border from where I live... Thats where I got my car:laugh: .... It probably would be shorter for him to go to Michigan...

If the engine in my car dies to where I need a 3.0L, michigan is just as close as the TC. I figured he is likly a very good 3.0L builder but $2500-$3000 I can have Steeda or Stazi fly in, stay at a hotel, fix my car, give them gambling money for the casino, beer money, food money, and still have money left over. LOL

Ahh - I didn't realize you were that close and that it costed that much  Lol - I'm a *******, I just bought a car with a 3L swap from him.. I needed a DD and fell in love with the CSVT..
