I think it is because this shifter is truely a 'short' shifter from what I understand. I guess I'll find out for myself when everthing gets installed.

Basically if we had a couple options that would be great and hopefully we can get a combo deal from these guys i.e shifter + nob for a combined sale price. I posted two above but I don't know if they would work w/ this shifter. The Cougar one like yours would not be a bad idea for an option. It is nice, clean, professional looking, but if we had a couple to choose from the better.

Alright well I was thinking about this yesterday... I think it would be best to just start another GB on just the shift knobs. As not everyone buying a short shifter will want to buy a knob with it. So if I try to wrap this all into one GB it will become vry confusing. Also I'm not sure how many options I can get him to commit to at a discounted price. If there is only 10 people ordering knobs and split between those people 3 different knobs are wanted I can't imagine that the discount would be that great. So I will start another thread on just the knobs and see if a concious can be reached as to what knobs are to be ordered. I myself am happy with my Mondeo MK2 shift knob , which may be a cougar knob as well for all I know.

Again I'm not certain. I've never seen a Steeda shift knob in person or used one. So I can't comment on whether it is or not. I've tried to provide all of the information I can so that people can make there own judgement call. When I get Bugzuki riser plate I'll install the shifter and note the difference in shift throw as well as providing pictures of the install. This should happen Wed evening with details being up late that night.

well since I have a steeda shifter from what I can tell from the image the shifter is the same, all the way down to the assist spring for the focus the contour doesn't need and the grease for the pivoit point, I can not tell from the photo is it is indeed longer under the pivot point but as Tony pointed out with tri-ax on the box its a great bet ...
