ok aside from putting in 5x7's in our doors what else can go in there. can we make 6x9's fit? i just wanna replace the worn out 5x7's i have now with the least amout of work possable

I replaced in 5"x7" speakers, but 6"x8" will also fit, unless you get a set with a HUGE magnet that won't fit the appropriate depth, haha.

I have an 8" subwoofer in each of my front doors...

Pictures please! I want to see your system SoundQ!

In response to the rest: 6x8 / 5x7 / and you can get inserts that will allow you to do 5 1/4 and 6" I believe...

Images of the install. Had a rattling problem I fixed with some mounting putty.

something is missing from that door panel, but what? :) and yes 6x8's are a direct fit for the door speakers. You can put 6x9's in there as well without much of a hassel, but some of them might mount too deep so you would need a bracket

Yup becuase you know. Thats why the other side has one and every other pic the car has it on.

Seriously

Well... it looks something like this...

Stock door panel...

Enlarge the speaker opening and add dynamat....

Take two 8" mounting rings and sandwich the door panel between them to add strength and provide a solid, stable mounting surface for the subwoofer...

Mount the sub and silicone the other wires on the door panel to prevent buzzing from vibrations...

Then re-install the OE liner back on the door...

And there you have it....

SoundQ, that is most definitely pure secks. That is such a clean install, and it must have been AMAZING to get that bass coming from the doors!
