57 miles to go... I am sad..

ah, just getting broke in! my hunda is around 165,xxx right now, and the svt had 163,xxx when it went away. the fiero has like 150,xxx on the body, and like 130,xxx on the motor.

like i said, just broken in!

Well, since he likes to do 6K clutch dumps....it might be a little more broken in.

I don't know that the rev limiter on the non-svt's is any different, aren't the SVT's at 7k? I don't know it's been such a long time since I've had a stock rev limiter

I want to say 6850, but by then you're past the peak horsepower anyway, so you're just revving for nothing.

With the non-svt cams? Cuz the SVT cammed engines are still pulling past 7k :)

6850 is about the redline for the SVT. Not to say it couldn't safely rev faster if the accessories were disconnected, but there's no need to go up there.

A car for laurasvt....again
My dad had like a 86 or 88 FWD....it was a peppy little thing. I actually had some comments from other people when they drove it, that they liked it as well.

The 6000 STE was a competitve car in its class for a number of years. I've always liked them. That one's been around the world a few too many times, though.

What are you doing to that car now?

Just found a white '85 Crown Vic coupe on craigslist up my way for $1200 with 88K. Looks like a project, but since you've already got your tools out...
