i dont know if you guys saw in the pic/video thread, but i finally found a bumper! 300 bucks and just so ray (ronin45) knows...i didnt get it from a junkyard north of the city :) so he can still go get that one, haha, i found it down in wareham...now its gonna get a little bit of silverfrost love and find a new home

oh dude no sweat at all, man that mirko is taking its sweet time getting to you, ah i dont think ill paint it, ive got a buddy that sprays but he's kinda hard to get to do side jobs, so im not sure what im gonna do yet
 
Are you going to paint the lower part silver or black like stock? I think if you had the shop do the black on the bottom as a base coat with the silver and then clear over everything, it would look killer.

well when my bumper was painted the whole bumper was painted body color first then the exhaust cut out was then painted black, althought I am not sure if it was cleared or not but it was painted with a flat or semi flat black.

ya i want the lower black part to remain black, but im thinking maybe a satin black...which might be close to what stock comes with...so ya stockish, haha is that what you were saying would look good?
 
Yeah. I've always liked the stock look for cars in general. That's why I don't like unpainted hoods and aftermarket wheels with universal lug patterns. That's why I got the FSVT wheels, because they look like they came on the car.

ya i agree, i miss my FSVT wheels :( ill probably just end up buying another set come spring time cause i really am a fan of them
 
I agree with the lower back valence being that satin black. It looks much better like that than body color. I think mine was resprayed body color and I'm not crazy about it although it's less noticeable being that I have a black car.

haha that actually was the one i was looking at =P robertson's auto salvage right? hahahaha it's all good though. i might actually take a drive down to fl to get some of robdace's stuff or just get the rear off the other guy selling from indiana cuz at least his will be black as well. just need to call the rmv first and find out how hard it is to get a salvage title.

awwwwwwwwww dude! i was like sweet there is no way this is the one ray was talking about because a. it wasnt north of boston and b. they wanted less then you had said, im sorry dude i honestly wouldnt have bought it if i knew it was the one, i went out of my way to stay away from where you had led me to believe it was you LIAR! haha, ya i was gonna buy robdance's bumper......oh and robertson's told me they had just recently got that car in which is also another reason why i didnt think it was the same car as the one you wanted, im sorry again ray :nonono:
 
hey what's new?!!! now, once you put this on you can't brag at the next meet that your car goes so fast that it tore the bumper off!!! plus you're gonna lose those "special aerodynamics" that you mentioned. lol
 
Ronin where are you located at?

I have an extra SVT bumper. It is SF and has a small crack and some chips from being bumped from behind. Minor glassing to fix the crack and will need to be repainted anyway since your car is black. PM me if interested. I'm located in Eastern PA
 
Ronin getting a SF bumper (possibly) and RespectTheContour getting a black bumper? Something's wrong with this picture ... swap potential? :ponder:

haha, ill be rocking my sweet "custom" bumper for a couple weeks longer....unfortunately my buddy who does paint work is in florida helping another buddy on his race team
