Hello all,

My wire harnesses are a complete mess, so I'm looking for a new 4 harnesses kit and found that:

Ford parts online
Power harness # F8RZ14289MA $795.00
Main engine harness # F7RZ12A581BMD $1695.00
They said that the other two harnesses are discontinued by Ford

Collectors Auto Supply
Fan harness # F8RZ8C290BB $219.07.
Fuel injection harness # F7RZ9D930BBD $440.00.
They only have this harnesses

$31,148.00 for the complete kit, which is a LOT of money.

I know some people here had done harness replacement recently, Where you buy the harnesses?

My car is a 98 2.5L ATX (don't apply for the 99M03)

TIA,

-Jorge

Ok, I think that I'm not clear.

The harnesses are this:

1.- power
2.- fan
3.- main engine
4.- fuel injection

This four are a complete harnesses kit (as far as I understand)

Prices are listed above

I think it is as good as you can get.

Now, if you don't have to replace all, then it would be a better deal. And I would not advise getting used ones unless the totalled car had the harness already changed. In addition, I think they are specific for each year and transmission, so getting one from the junk yard or Classifieds might not be too easy.

One cheap way is to just splice or "Liquid Rubber" it. There is this compound sold at home supply stores which is basically what the name is. You paint it on the exposed wires. I have done that for my battery positive cable and it seems to be working fine (for now).
