Window tint in IL

ok i have looked at the law for IL and you cant have any tint on the front windows. but you may have any % tint in the rear. what % are you guys running in the front and not having any trouble with the law in IL?
 
i have 35% all around i never get pulled over anywhere, except in bartlett, there's no crime in this town and cops grill everyone with tints, they think its a gangbanger or something, i've been pulled over once for it and the woman cop said you know your not supposed to have tints on your front windows, i just said its a show car, i feel that if your nice to them they will just warn you about them
 
I have 35 on the front, 20 on the rears. The tint was done in March 2003 and I didn't get pulled over for it until Oct/Nov 2006. It was a state trooper in a group of 3 or 4 troopers in town looking for reasons to stop people. It was lunchtime on a dark overcast day so the tint looked darker than it really was. I got a warning because my brother in law is also employed by the ISP. Still haven't removed the front tint.

Matt: yea i agree being nice and making jokes with the cop is the best way to get out of anything. its worked 5 times for me. lol. one gave me a pat on the shoulder
