Who's in the NYC area?

Nice to meet yall. I am on average between 30-40min from CT, NJ and PA and of course NYC. I am in the middle of nowhere surrounded by everything.

C'mon on know there are more from our area.

Tri-State Stand Up!!

Just wondering. It would be cool to set something up in Bear Mountain and chill, do a drive thru NYC or Atlantic City or something (open to ideas). Just ideas for now, the good weather doesn't last long here, we all know that.

My car is down..... Buying new knuckles/hubs and lcas,,, and new rims( I need two sets of tires(Summers and all seasons)...

After last winter, I am not driving my SVT in the snow anymore. Last winter the front end turned into a shovel and the plastic gaurds underneath just kept coming down. Now that I have my HID ballasts in there, no more winter. I need to do work to my tour as well so I am having my fun while I can. Project neon is going to my DD, just hope to get it done in time....

yeah my car is kind of down also, it has some weird vibe issuse, but I do drive it, just around town only, I will refuse to take it on the parkway far away from home until we fix the problem

well for starters when you 1st drive it for the 1st time, it will not do anything till it gets to operating temp, and when it does get up there, the vibes might not come for another 20 minutes, it seems to come and go, but what me and father think it is, is the driver side axle, and it tends to shake the whole car sometimes also

K, well it does have the making to be an axle but I thought you wouldve had early indications to an axle before your whole car would shake from it? Grinding or humming at highway speeds, etc. You should really look into it before you blow a tranny. I would look at your mounts and check your bearings also. I know it really shouldn't cause the whole car to do what you say its doing but vibrations can do a number of things besides be annoying and sometimes, not all the time, be caused by something else.

A friend of mine a while ago had a saturn that wabbled at 35-45MPH, he took it to a mechanic and was told the frame was bent so he left it alone. I looked at it and saw the radiator support was bent and the tranny cooler had some damage but no leaks and the frame it self was straight, D/S axle was the cause.
