I have a scanner in my svt. I could listen to the county I lived in initially but they switched to a more advanced system which my scanner can't handle. I use it for same thing groovenerd uses his for. Mainly just on trips to know where cops are at and traffic conditions. Helped me and cops_got_my_svt coming back from SZ there was a super wide load holding both lanes of traffic up so far back we couldn't see it. The truckers said what it was and cops_got_my_svt used his laptop with gps to find a parallel highway that we drove on (quickly) for a little bit and then headed back to the interstate. We stopped at a subway then got back on the interstate right before a cop was going to block the entrance ramp.
