I've been searching and I haven't really been able to find any that I like....as in price range. Are the MSDS headers the only ones made for a CSVT? I saw something on contour.org about SHM headers but was not able to locate any. I don't really want to put out $660 bucks for the ones on MSDSinc.com. Does anyone know anywhere to find them cheaper? I would even buy some just ones if I could find them. If anyone has any info please let me know.

well in searching you should have come across info on the Weapon-R headers, which are MSDS knock offs which have been forced out of production .... SHM headers I don't think are made anymore so good luck with finding those ...

the only choice unless you find some used ones is MSDS ... you can get just the headers for $200 un coated ... if you want it all you still pay the $660 ...

What do you mean uncoated? Those are the only ones that I have seen. Where do I get those and what is the difference between the two. I only really want the headers and not the Y-pipe offered because I either want to get an optimized one or run true dual exhaust. $200 sounds much better.

the complete msds package is $660 for everything, headers, y-pipe, ceramic coating, mils, install hardware ... search the old forums group buy forum for grass roots sale .... this thread will explain that MSDS will let you buy parts of the complete Contour Header kit for the individual amounts ... so get the headers for $200, get them jet hot coated or powder coated to prevent rusting and get new hardware from Ford and make or buy Mils and you are good to go ....

Weapon R is supposed to come out with another design very soon. I heard they were going to be released in Sept. but obviously that isn't the case otherwise they would have been out by now.

yep i talked to the MSDS guys you can get just the headers uncoated for 200+shipping. i am going to do this, and just powdercoat them black so they dont rust (you can use high temp engine paint too but it'll peel eventually) since you cant see the headers anyways, i dont care about not having them stainless even though it looks super nice. keep in mind you will still have to pick up a new set of exhaust mani gaskets too.

The ypipe is a big power gain tho, spend the money now and get it all, all your going to do is invest 300 on headers, then end up buing the y pipe. Its a good deal, or just wait till the after christmas for the weapon r, which i am.

An update from Marty at MSDS:
The "raw" headers are still $200. but the ceramic coating is now $145 (previously $125.) and the extreme coating is now $175.

Just to clarfiy things I wrote Weapon-R an email. Here was their response (pretty blunt with no details)

No info about new headers are available at this time

Yeah, thats a lot of information... Im intrested in the WeaponR headers as well.. The MSDS solution is a formidable one though.. Proven performance gains & a complete instalation package is hard to turn away from. Getting everything you need with the headers and a y-pipe is hard to pass up..

I once seen a picture of someones headers that were uncoated and they were previously on the car. They looked very bad. Don't waste your money on the uncoated ones. You'll be happy that you didn't. If you don't have the money now then save up until you can get the ceramic ones. You'll be 100% impressed. I feel you'll spend more in the long run on the uncoated ones. Since you'll have to take them off and repair them from rusting.
