Since this thread is about fuel economy, is 70MPH on the highway the most fuel efficient speed? Has anyone ever compared MPG at 65, 70, and 75?
I think it's always been more or less a rule of thumb that 55 - 60 mph is the fuel economy zone. After that, wind resistance becomes an issue. I suppose it's more important for a larger less aerodynamic vehicle to keep the speed down but my car gets better mileage if I keep it 65 or below.Since this thread is about fuel economy, is 70MPH on the highway the most fuel efficient speed? I read somewhere that for a majority of cars that the best mpg you'll get is at 65 and for every 5 mph you go over that you loose 1-2 miles off of your mpg, so thats about right.

I'm tryin to conserve my coin brah, all these ladies be jockin on me. Along with the fact that I work 10-15 hours a week and get paid every other week.
