i wasnt sure if i really wanted to put it on my csvt but i did (since i got it for xmas from the family) i like how it looks though, just curious of others opinions



my buddy got one for his GTI for xmas too



and heres a shot of my rearend after my car got hit while it was parked...$2600 damage


 
Looks like crap to me, but you gotta do what you gotta do. If I get a bike, I'd also get a trailer and whatever car I have will get a trailer hitch. Not best looking thing, but a car is better used for function than fashion.

i was thinking of going the trailer route, but the rack can come on/off in about 10 seconds
 
Oh I was talking bout if I get a motorcycle. Just trying to relate that neither thing looks great but they serve their purpose. If I had a bicycle, I'd fold the back seat down and shove it in there.

well ya i have jetskis so thats what i meant by trailer...and it sucks ass having people and skis/bikes in the car, it gets old really quick, esp. on the way back from the mountain with wet skis
 
Gotta do what ya gotta do. It would look a lot better with out, but it does serve its purpose. Putting bikes and skis in cars could potentially rip the seats and it does suck comin back from a ski trip with those things in your face.

My buddy got his ripped off his car, just be careful with it. It really messed up his roof. His car was also a GTI.
 
I Like the rack. Its for functionality and it actually looks kinda cool IMO.

Don't listen to the haters :blackeye: It looks cool. hey if i got one for my SVT i'd put my 6' ladder on it and do my side jobs without havening to borrow a truck :laugh:
 
It's not like you are planning on leaving it 12 months out of the year, so it's fine. It serves a purpose and is much better than having wet skis in your car.

Sorry about your bumper. :cry: Maybe I missed the whole story but were you in the car when it happened?
