weirdest question ever

ive had 2 rangers in the past a 1998 2wd 3.0 and 01 4.0 2wd
well i miss them
i have a 1998 contour svt now its a really confortable car nice interior nice on the outside but its front wheel drive.... and unibody i want rwd bigger v6 lets say a 4.0 sohc
a 1995 through 1997ranger have almost the same wheelbase as a contour and close to the same track width front and rear

does any one know if its even close to possible to take my cars engine and tranny out and rear brakes and all and mount it to a ranger frame?
(i live in the south my brain functions this way)
i forgot what the frame on a ranger looks like
 
I'm sorry to say this but you need to search around. this question has been asked 10000's of times on v8's and v6's and now even v10's. no one that we know of has tried any of them.
 
ive seen the posts on v10 and all
just wondering if anyone knows anything about making my car fast not a v6 with 3k turbo and still wouldnt be that fast
wheel hop the front wheels off not fun

i guess ill learn to live with fwd untill ford builds something other than a mustang thats rear drive and kinda fast
 
Even if you sucessfully transplanted all of that, you would end up with a car that sits about 3 feet above the pavement. Think about it, where would that axle and driveshaft go?
 
only if the frame twisted the driveshaft would stay where its at on a ranger but i think it would sit up too high and look gay like the monstour contour

frankenranger is awesome

ill be working on a 95 ranger this summer with a 4.6modular

i want a ranger powered contour but im thinking it will sit up too high
 
yeah that would be nice ehh ill guess since gas is still high ill just keep my little 2.5 btw is there any different gear ratios avaiable for the mtx 75?
other 3.82 and 4.06
